1. About us

These terms are between you and Turtle Tours, a licensed Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve operator based at Al Mouj Marina, Muscat, Oman. We run snorkeling trips, private charters, sunset cruises and overnight camping trips to the reserve. By booking a trip with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Bookings

Online bookings are confirmed instantly once full payment is made. Bookings made on WhatsApp or by email, including Overnight Island Camping, are confirmed once full payment is received. You are responsible for providing accurate guest numbers, contact details and any relevant information (swimming ability, medical conditions, dietary needs, ages of children) at booking.

3. Prices & payment

Prices are shown in Omani Rial (OMR), per person or per boat as stated. Child prices apply to guests under 16. Reserve permits are included on the shared tour and overnight camping, and added per person on private charters. All trips are paid in full in advance: online by card when you book, or by local bank transfer or card payment link on request. We do not take deposits or payment on the day.

4. Cancellations & refunds

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before a shared tour, and up to 72 hours before a private charter, sunset cruise or overnight island camping trip, for a full refund or free rebooking. Inside these windows we will do our best to rebook your trip; refunds are at our discretion. Please arrive 30 minutes before departure. On shared trips the boat can wait a maximum of 15 minutes past the scheduled departure time, out of fairness to the other guests on board. If you are running late and let us know, we will move you to the next available departure once, free of charge. No-shows without notice are non-refundable.

5. Weather & safety cancellations

If sea conditions or weather make a trip unsafe, we may reschedule or cancel and will offer a free rebooking or full refund. The captain's decision on conditions and on any individual's participation is final.

6. The reserve & permits

The Daymaniyat Islands are a protected reserve subject to Environment Authority rules, daily visitor limits and seasonal restrictions. Where permits or access are unavailable, we may alter the itinerary or offer an alternative.

7. Your responsibilities & assumption of risk

Snorkeling and boat trips involve inherent risks. You agree to follow the safety briefing and crew instructions, wear a life jacket where required, and declare any condition affecting participation. You take part at your own risk. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

8. Wildlife & the environment

Do not touch, chase or feed wildlife; do not stand on or remove coral; follow our reef-safe, plastic-free practices. We may end the participation of any guest whose behaviour endangers people, the crew or the reserve.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of your booking; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses or events beyond our reasonable control. We maintain the insurance required to operate.

10. Photography

We may take photos and video on our trips for our website and social media. If you prefer not to be featured, let the crew know.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published here at the time of your booking.
