For visitors from the UAE

Oman Weekend Trip from Dubai

Just a few hours' drive from Dubai and Abu Dhabi: swap the city for turtles, clear water and Oman's most beautiful marine reserve.

Some of the best snorkeling in the region is a short drive from home. For UAE residents, a Muscat weekend pairs an easy road trip with a day on the water at the Daymaniyat Islands: turtles, rays and water so clear it doesn't feel real.

Getting here

Muscat is roughly a 4.5-5 hour drive from Dubai and about 3 hours from Al Ain. Leave Thursday evening or Friday morning and you have a full weekend. (Check current visa and border requirements before you set off; rules change, so confirm with official sources.)

A perfect Daymaniyat weekend

Day 1: Arrive in Muscat. Settle in, enjoy the corniche and a seafood dinner. Al Mouj is a relaxed marina district with hotels, restaurants and the harbour we sail from.

Day 2: On the water. Morning departure from Al Mouj for the Daymaniyat Islands. Join a small-group snorkel trip or take a private charter for your group. Back by afternoon with time to relax.

Day 3: Muscat & home. A morning in the souqs or by the sea, then the easy drive back, home by evening.
